Hello, my name is Danielle Hackbarth. I am a 2004 graduate of Edgewood-Colesburg Jr./Sr. High School and a 2006 Graduate of Kirkwood Community College. While enrolled at Kirkwood, I enjoyed and completed their Floral Careers and Landscape, Nursery and Garden Center Management programs, during which time I learned the fundamentals of owning/operating a floral business, the background of the floral industry, as well as all designing, pricing and selling techniques (including tips that have been around for decades and the ones that have just recently been released.) I also learned the names, care and make-up of indoor plants, bedding plants, perennials, annuals, trees and shrubs. I am also qualified in the landscaping aspect of this field, knowing how to design, present and execute a landscape plan. I have also taken two different customer service training courses and continue to build on that foundation. I have been working at the Buttercup since September of 2001(my freshman year of high school). While I was in college, I did one of my three internships here and filled in on weekends and during the holidays. I started full time employment here in August of 2006, just one week after finishing my college classes. I really enjoy working for Karen. She is a great person and wonderful to have as an employer and friend. My goal is to continue to learn from her and to expand my knowledge in this field. For all you future brides out there--- I am planning my own wedding for next September and have so far, gained much personal and professional knowledge from this experience.
